Honeywell MN10CESWW Review
For those who need to use air conditioners, it is not something that we buy very often. Hence a wise buy is a must; while cooling capacity is of utmost importance, so is reliability, an assurance of how long the device will serve without hassles. Traditional air conditioners are abundant in the market, but here we take a look at a unique product from one of the best known names in the industry – HoneyWell.
Welcome to the Honeywell MN10CESWW 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner with Remote Control. Let us move on to its features right away.
This is the first feature that I want to bring forward. Most homes need air conditioning in different rooms at different times, but not all at once. Why invest in several devices each for one room when one can suffice ? While technical features are definitely important, this, in my opinion is what saves a lot of your money. One machine that can be easily shifted to another room – imagine it cooling your study in the evenings and your bedroom at night. Move it to your living area whenever you need, for example if there are guests coming in.
Easy-to-install Window Venting Kit
The Honeywell MN10CESWW comes with a window venting kit, which again is portable and can be easily assembled and dismantled. Simply use this attachment on any window to vent out the hot air that the machine will generate. A very essential and user friendly add on which adds to the portability of the product.
With 10,000 BTU and Dehumidification up to 79.2 pints per day, the HoneyWell MN10CESWW is capable of cooling areas up to 400 square feet. That will cover most room sizes in a standard house. The machine also boasts of noiseless operation with sound levels only upto 55 dBA.
Other Features :
- Super easy controls
- Fully remotely controllable
- 3 speed variations
- Digital LED display
- Feather touch controls
- 5 year warranty
Only one drawback that I find is noteworthy is that the flexible exhaust pipe that comes with this products heats up while the machine is in operation. Though not a major concern, technically speaking, it does add to a bit of energy loss since a part of this heat gets dissipated back into the room. In turn, this adds to the heat load of the machine and would stretch your power bills a bit. There is a simple workaround to this problem though. A few wraps of insulating material on the exhaust pipe will solve the problem for you.
Highly rated on Amazon, most reviews do speak well about the product. With almost a thousand reviews in place, the Honeywell MN10CESWW 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner speaks well for itself.
